What’s on
Explore the thousands of photos of Copenhagen, dig into the history of the neighbourhood Nørrebro or participate in four nights of enlightment at the Museum of Copenhagen.
The WALL

The WALL is the Museum of Copenhagen’s newest communication project. It places the story of the city right in the town center. On a 12 meter long interactive outdoor multitouch screen you can fly away in a gigantic picture universe and evoke the Copenhagen of the past and present. You can even tell your own story by uploading your private photos to the WALL.
Current exhibitions

What characterises Copenhagen as a capital city and what makes it a unique city? By employing such themes as their point of departure, the exhibitions on show at the Museum of Copenhagen focus on the elements that not only render Copenhagen a city as opposed to a coastal town, but also the only Danish metropolis of international calibre.
Long term exhibitions

The Museum of Copenhagen’s long term exhibitions tell the story of how Copenhagen has changed, both socially and physically speaking, from its earliest history as a trading town to become the metropolis we know today. From the Episcopal town of Absalon, to the autocratic medieval town and finally the present day democratic metropolis. See how national and foreign influences have changed the physical appearance of Copenhagen’s layout and experience its unique marks at first hand.
Upcoming exhibitions

The Museum of Copenhagen will be presenting some exciting new projets and exhibitions within the near future. The WALL opened on Kongens Nytorv in April 2010 and a new exhibition about the population of Copenhagen is to open this autumn.
Outreach
Through a number of innovative Outreach projects, the Museum of Copenhagen is entering into dialogue and exchanging roles with the citizens of Copenhagen.
Nights of Enlightenment

Come along to an unknown land, fly high on castles in the air, learn about coquetry or understand how to be a man! This September the Museum of Copenhagen welcomes you to Nights of Enlightenment staged by the art group “Ingen Frygt”.
The Søren Kierkegaard Collection
The world famous philosopher put his mark on Copenhagen, both spiritually and physically speaking. At the Museum of Copenhagen a unique collection of Kierkegaard’s personal belongins is on display. The collection is one of a kind, since Kierkegaards belongings were scattered to the winds at an auction over the things he left behind in the spring of 1856.
