Ceiling lamp by the designer Mette Bak Andersen

Ceiling lamp made of plastic from old fridges by designer Mette Bak Andersen

In Denmark plastic waste is incinerated instead of being recycled.  Merete Bak Andersen has an agreement with a refrigerator producer whereby she reuses their plastic waste for the production of lamps. Currently she is awaiting a new supply. As soon as the new supply arrives she will start producing new lamps and you will be able to buy the lamp in the Museum’s “TRASH! Shop”.

20% of the lamp’s price goes to the Danish Society for Nature Conservation’s annual waste campaign.
